traveling in a foreign land

Today is Dec. 31, New Years Eve. This year has flown by. God has done so many amazing things in my life. Some subtle others WOW... I thank Him for them all, even the ones I am totally unaware of.   It's a time to reflect; How has God moved in your life this past year?
It's a time to look forward, the good ol' new years resolution.  It seems almost silly to make one as usually it has to do with; loosing weight, or exercising, or some self absorbed improvement or desire.
What would God have me do this next year?  That's another way to make a resolution for the new year.

Last Tues I went and had my second Hep A & B shot.  (they are so nice in the Hendersonville Health Dept- for immunizations)  This time I was ready for the OUCH when the injection entered my arm.
It hurt, but by the time I went through the front door to leave, so did the pain.  What a temporary pain. This life, is temporary. We are on our pilgrimage now, thru a foreign land. We may encounter pain, from illness, disease, heartache, betrayal, false accusations, etc. but PRAISE GOD, This is temporary! He will get us through, keep your eyes on Him! Walk on water, don't sink.  Jesus gives us HIS word, that He will never leave us nor forsake us, only follow Him. If we are not with Jesus, we are against Him.  Even if we have daily pain, (and pain is painful) the good news is, one day, we will leave this land, and be with Him, where there is no more pain or disease.  Thank you Lord for your loving kindness.
Lord, lead me, guide me, give me a willing heart to follow and not faint. Amen.

The Lord also has provided me with a new job. BIG SMILES and Thankfulness to Him. I start Monday, Jan. 3rd!

Tonight we will be gathering at a friends house for new years eve.  Some friends (Dennis and Cindy)who sold their home and went full time to do mission work in Guatemala are here visiting. They will be giving a presentation about Guatemala and what they are doing there.  I am SO excited to see them again.
Dennis has a blog, here's the address if anyone wants to check it out.

Monday I will be going to the bank to file a claim on the money lost on the counterfeit Rosetta Stone Spanish course.  I'll keep you posted as to how that all turns out.

Our God is an Awesome God!
I pray each of you has a safe new years eve, and a blessed new year.

in His grace,
Kim
