reliance on Him

Good morning ~
It is a whopping 23 degrees on my porch! God is good, I have a warm home.

I wanted to share something that stood out to me this morning as I read "my utmost for His highest" by Oswald Chambers.
I am behind in my reading, yet right where I am suppose to be.. haha  Reading from December 14
"The Great Life"
"Peace I leave with you, My peace Igive unto you: Let not your heart be troubled"  John 14:27
(copied in part)
Whenever you obey God, His seal is always that of peace...... If you are acting on an impulse, or from a sense of the heroic, the peace of Jesus will not witness:  Every decision brings a reaction of simplicity.
My questions come whenever I cease to obey. When I have obeyed God, the problems never come between me and God, they come as probes to keep the mind going on with amazement at the revelation of God. Any problem that comes between God and myself, springs out of disobedience; any problem that is alongside me while I obey God, increases my ecstatic delight,  becasue I know that my Father knows, and I am going to watch and see how He unravels this thing."

That is how I feel about this missions trip to Guatemala.  I have never gone on a missions trip, have never planned one, This is ALL new to me. I watch as HE provides, guides and leads.  WOW....
Yesterday He revealed to me, 'you do not know what I have planned for you'.... Shortly after I was notified of a very large sponsorship toward this missions trip. PRAISE GOD.
I AM EXCITED to watch and see how He works out the details.  PLease continue to pray I would be soft clay in His hands, that He can mold me into a "good vessel to be used for His good purpose".

Thank you all for your prayers, and loving support as I learn and prepare to go.

may His grace abound to you this day;
in Him,
Kim
