An update on the Mission trip to Guatemala. I continue to seek sponsors. I get my last shot in May. I am about to purchase airline tickets to meet up with the team from PA in Guatemala. the goal is to arrive about the same time to save extra trips to the airport. The Lord continues to deal with me, teach me, humble me, and reveal Himself to me. PRAISE GOD. We have such an AWESOME GOD. and yet, we can not comprehend just how truely AWESOME He is!!!
Thank you for your continued support in prayer for me, and in the preparation of this Mission trip.
Do you ever wonder at the challenges you face daily, weekly, yearly? Challenges within your family, challenges at work? This seems to be my area of receiving lessons lately. Personal CHALLENGES!
James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,
1 Peter 1:6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials,
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
I am THANKFUL to my Lord for His encouraging Word. He lets me know, it's NOT about me at all. (WHAT??? haha) It is about learning WHO He is, about HIS Character, getting to know HIM. I can trust Him, so can you.
We must die to ourselves. We hear that we must die to live. This is a very true statement.
"Are you loyal to Jesus or loyal to your notion of Him? Are you loyal to what He says, or are you trying to compromise with conceptions which never came from Him? Whatsoever He saith unto you, do it" by Oswald Chambers (March 28- My Utmost for His Highest)
There is a much bigger picture than my individual life. I pray and ask Him, to lead me, teach me the way in which to walk. That I would die daily to myself, to the lusts and desires of this world. That my heart would serve Him and only Him. (to know Him I must read His word daily)
So, when I go through a tough time, or someone is less than friendly, or says something hurtful, 'what does it matter??' It does not. What does matter, is HOW I RESPOND. Do I respond out of my flesh? out of my pride? Or do I love my enemy? Jesus was God in the flesh, able to destroy, yet He was humble, using the Word of God to rebuke. Not slander.
It is vital to read your Bible, feed on His word, digest it, make it a part of who you are IN HIM. Understand, He is not part of YOU, but rather the other way around, you are saved IN HIM.
Remember, our Lord Jesus grieved, He cried, He felt pain, He bled, He knows the troubles of your heart. Hear what He has to say to you, READ the Bible and hear Him.
Eph. 5:20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
2 Peter 1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,
~AMEN~
In His grace;
Kim
