Gods provision

My travel west was amazing. I am always 'more' amazed at how great God IS. Yet, why am I so amazed?? He IS God. haha~ my simple little mind just gets blown away as if it were something new!

I left NC heading west, Each day I heard of how the weather was supose to be bad. God kept me on DRY roads, seldom with cars around me. It was as if I was in a small bubble and no other cars or people could get to me. :)  There were times when going through the cities that there was a lot of traffic. There were a couple 'close' calls~ but God's grace protected me. (thank you to ALL who have been praying for me) I definetely felt the prayers of protection.

God has been showing me, and talking with me, that HE is in control. That He will provide a path even when there does not seem to be one. He is MY protector.
{Hbr 4:16 NKJV} - Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
When there are troubled times, the question is not 'how can God help me' but rather, "How can this situation bring Glory to God"-  it's not about me. It's not about you. It's ALL about our great God, the one true living God that is loving and JUST.  He is the potter, I am the clay. The potter can do with the pot what ever He wishes.

{Isa 29:16 NKJV} - Surely you have things turned around! Shall the potter be esteemed as the clay; For shall the thing made say of him who made it, "He did not make me"? Or shall the thing formed say of him who formed it, "He has no understanding"?

{Isa 64:8 NKJV} - But now, O LORD, You [are] our Father; We [are] the clay, and You our potter; And all we [are] the work of Your hand.

{Jer 18:6 NKJV} - "O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter?" says the LORD. "Look, as the clay [is] in the potter's hand, so [are] you in My hand, O house of Israel!

{Rom 9:21 NKJV} - Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor?

When I started out driving west, in the very first hour there was 'an issue' with another driver, I began to get upset, and immediately this thought went through my mind; "are you going to allow anger to ruin your drive west?" I repented, and had no further 'driving issues' you know, 'road rage' against another driver.  God gave me His peace for which I am thankful.

Typically when I am over tired, or drive long distances, I get a migraine. the really bad kind. But thanks to your prayers, I didn't get a bad migraine. God revealed to me how I drove caused me to get tight muscles on the right side of my body. (shoulder, neck) So becoming aware of this, I changed how I drove. I also was able to get a inexpensive place to stay one night that had a jacuzzi and indoor pool. haha, I was the only one using them. It felt wonderful to swim some laps, then sit in the jacuzzi. I was relaxed and slept well that night. NO headache or migraine in the morning.

The next day there was supose to be terrible rain with hail. But it was above and below the interstate I was on. PRAISE GOD. Then there was supose to be SNOW once I got into CO. PRAISE GOD, it did not snow nor was there any on the roads!  I arrived and surprised the boys. There is nothing like your grandsons running up and hugging you! totally made the 3 days of driving worth every minute.

I woke up the next morning here in CO to SNOW all over. I was (and am still) praising God for His provision, His protection. That He held off the snow until I arrived.
Each night it has snowed, then melts away by mid-day. Although now it is snowing and supose to continue until Monday.
The cool part is I will get to see Spring twice this year! :)  How glorious is that? to see everything come to life (in two different parts of the country) after sleeping throught the winter months.

I had business cards printed with MISSIONS FOR HIM blog address and was able to pass some out along the drive here. There were some very sweet people that were kind to me along the way. To them also I say: 'thank you'.  A simple act of kindness goes ALONG WAY in making the day brighter.

Please be in prayer for:
  • the children of Guatemala and Africa, and the orphanages providing care to them.
  • the salvation of the un-saved, both here and in other countries.
  • our USA and our government
  • God to continue teaching me and leading along HIS path for this life He's given me.
{Psa 69:13 NKJV} - But as for me, my prayer [is] to You, O LORD, [in] the acceptable time; O God, in the multitude of Your mercy, Hear me in the truth of Your salvation.
{Psa 100:4 NKJV} - Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, [And] into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, [and] bless His name.

{Col 3:15 NKJV} - And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful
{2Jo 1:3 NKJV} - Grace, mercy, [and] peace will be with you from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

in His grace,
Kim

  1. Kim,
Wait til you see driving in Guatemala City,,, the bubble is a little smaller shall we say.
Encourage those that support you to be strong and faithful in praying for orphan situation in Guatemala. One orphanage that we support has closed its doors to babies, due to being full and the dismal effort by governmental overseers at getting children into homes here and abroad.
IT IS HEARTBREAKING... one child we are very close to has been deemed unadoptable tho' I know of two families that would take her into their homes today, before I put the period on this sentence. It is hard to believe what is happening is anything but evil...may God shine through this darkness and do so very soon.
    In Christ
